Well, the name of the job title for such a reward career is a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator. Licensed Psilocybin Facilitators, or people who hold a Psilocybin Facilitator Certification are trained in best practices from scientific research and ancient wisdom, to assist people in engaging with their own inner healing intelligence with the wisdom of the mushroom. The training involves didactic and experiential components, both of which help prepare the student to step into a competent facilitator role upon completion of the program.

Psilocybin-assisted therapy
To begin, just in case you haven’t already heard of Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy, I will give you a quick overview. It is a revolutionary approach to healing the nervous system of people and the planet. Psilocybin-assisted therapy integrates the use of the magic mushrooms into the healing space, with a skilled facilitator using a non- directive approach. These substances, when used with therapeutic container, catalyze profound therapeutic effects in the form of “Mystical Experiences”, allowing our brain, nervous system, and subtle energy fields to experience something pretty magical that translates after the session as a “reset”. Neuroscience actually shows that these experiences create new neural pathways in our brain, increasing neuroplasticity ( the key to healing trauma), and even generate new brain cells. So individuals who are struggling in so many different ways including treatment resistant depression, can find relief.
Unlike traditional psychiatric treatments, psilocybin-assisted therapy offers unique advantages. The major advantage of the therapy is often rapid and enduring relief. Conventional medications take weeks or months to show results, and often don’t help at all, while Psilocybin Assisted Therapy shows a rapid improvement in just one session, for people who are willing to let go, surrender, and “do the work”. “Doing the Work” – that is all part of the Prep and Integration process, and much of what we go over in the Psilocybin Facilitator Certification Program.
Typical Psilocybin-Assisted therapy, with a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator, consists of a consultation, and upon agreeing to work together, 1 Intake session, 1-2 Prep Sessions, the Administration Day, and 1-2 integration sessions.
What does the Psilocybin Facilitator Certification Training Involve?
The Psilocybin Facilitator Certification Training is typically 120-150 hours, divided into 10 Modules. Those modules cover the Core Competencies and Domains of Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy Facilitation. The modules include cultural and ancient history, current research, trauma informed practices, trauma and our nervous systems, facilitator boundaries, shadows, ethics, pharmacology, red flags, green flags, yellow flags, prep, intakes, administration, group work and integration. Many of the core competencies are also skills, so we offer a lot of opportunities to strengthen our skills by practicing on one another, in our program.
The Psilocybin Facilitator Certification Training takes you on a journey of your own self discovery as you move through the program. You will have an opportunity to experience the role of a participant, and to participate ( observe) in a Psilocybin- Assisted Therapy session.
