Register: ACEs and Transformation Understanding Trauma and Our Capacity for Resilience

 Early life experiences shape health, behavior, and resilience—and they often show up in the preparation, journey, and integration phases of psilocybin facilitation. In this focused CFE, we’ll explore the Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) framework, how trauma impacts the nervous system, and how resilience-building practices can transform outcomes. You’ll learn how to recognize when a client may need additional preparation, apply grounding and regulation tools, and integrate ACEs-informed practices that support both safety and transformation. We’ll also clarify how Oregon and Colorado define trauma-informed, non-directive facilitation so you can stay within scope while offering deeper, culturally aware support.

You’ll learn to: 

• Define ACEs and their long-term impact on health, behavior, and resilience.

• Recognize when ACE scores indicate higher vulnerability without pathologizing clients.

• Apply trauma-informed principles aligned with OPS and Colorado NMSA standards.

• Integrate grounding, nervous system regulation, and resilience practices into facilitation.

• Develop your own resilience plan to embody the principle of “doing your own work.”
