Navigating Suicide Risk: A Practical CFE for Psilocybin Facilitators

October 10th , 2025 |  10:00-12:30 PM PT  | Live on Zoom

We know that current thoughts of suicide are a red flag for psilocybin facilitation—but what do you actually do if a client discloses these feelings?

In this focused CEU, we’ll clarify current terminology around suicidality, model how to talk about it with clients, show you when and how to screen, and walk through building a clear, collaborative safety plan. We’ll also cover what to do when the client hasn’t disclosed risk, but you pick up on concerning cues during preparation, session, or integration—how to recognize it, respond in the moment, and determine next steps within scope.

You'll Learn To:

  • Use accurate, up-to-date terminology.
  • Ask direct, compassionate questions that reduce shame and open dialogue.
  • Screen at intake, pre-session, during session check-ins, and post-session integration.
  • Create client-centered safety plans (warning signs, coping strategies, contacts, escalation thresholds).
  • Respond in-session when risk emerges without disclosure (verbal/nonverbal cues; grounding, pausing, and clinical decision points).
  • Navigate referral, emergency procedures, and documentation while maintaining rapport and boundaries within scope of practice.

Walking Home: Facilitating Psilocybin at the End of Life

October 24th , 2025 |  10:00-12:30 PM PT  | Live on Zoom

For some clients, psilocybin work means confronting life’s final threshold. Whether supporting an elderly client, a person facing terminal illness, or someone struggling with fear of death and dying, facilitators must be prepared to hold these experiences with steadiness, compassion, and clarity.

In this CEU, we will explore how psilocybin can support clients in approaching mortality with greater peace and presence. We’ll look at how themes of death and dying may arise—both intentionally and unexpectedly—and how facilitators can respond in a way that honors the client’s journey while staying within ethical and professional scope.

You'll Learn To:

  • Recognize how end-of-life themes emerge across preparation, journey, and integration.
  • Communicate with sensitivity to elderly and terminally ill clients and their families.
  • Support clients who carry fear of death, helping them move toward acceptance and meaning-making.
  • Distinguish between existential exploration and clinical red flags such as suicidality.
  • Provide grounded integration practices that help clients weave these experiences into their lives.
